After graduating with a Bachelors of Commerce (Accounting) from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, I joined Walsh King LLP in 2013 as a staff accountant and have since moved into a senior accounting role where I lead junior members of the audit and assurance team. Together we work with business owners and management teams to ensure the accuracy of financial statements, the implementation and effective functioning of internal financial controls and that these systems are followed.
I admire entrepreneurs, and I feel privileged to be in a career where I have the opportunity to learn a tremendous amount with every new client I meet. It’s very informative to be in a position to talk to senior management in different businesses and industries. The experience has increased my appreciation for the importance of understanding how each part of a business functions and fits together, particularly if your goal is to improve business efficiencies.
Fluent in English and Mandarin, I work closely with clients in the manufacturing, distribution, transportation, technology and film industries. My recent experience includes working in the field of specialty engineering.
Outside the Office:
I’m the proud owner of a “mature” Jack Russell Terrier, an animal welfare advocate, and an active participant in the outdoor adventures that British Columbia has to offer.
