We’re proud of our company culture at Walsh King. It’s positive, engaged and fosters constructive relationships between colleagues.
The work that we do is challenging, but it’s also rewarding. Our clients rely on us to provide them with expert tax, financial and business advice – and we take that responsibility seriously.
The business and finance sectors continue to evolve, demanding that each of us keep up with the changes in our service industries, the economic environment, and federal and provincial tax rules to determine how our clients’ businesses and personal wealth will be impacted.
Walsh King is 37 years old this year. From the moment we opened our doors, we knew that we wanted to be a great place to work. We have consistently put effort into who we are as a company, and we’re proud of the positive, productive, respectful and fun office environment we’ve created.
The best way to attract great people to your team is to make sure that you provide value beyond a title or a salary. We regularly host fun events outside of the office, such as wine tastings and baseball outings. We enjoy fitness challenges, with team members regularly participating in half-marathons. To keep us growing and learning, we bring in subject matter experts on a variety of topics – from the complex world of cryptocurrency to writing and editing workshops.
Our regular Walsh King Coffee Talk event brings the office together to engage in interesting discussions, while our Sharing Excellence sessions give us a platform to practice our presentation skills. We share personal knowledge on a range of topics from networking tips to income-splitting rules.
This Forbes article highlights the importance of company culture – and we agree. We are committed to maintaining a great place to work and we’ll continue to invest in this area. Our people are our biggest asset – and we want them to love working at Walsh King.
